Alicia Keys is delaying the release of her duet with BeyoncĂŠ in order to help Drake by releasing “Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready),” a track from her The Element of Freedom album that features the rapper. “Put It In A Love Song,” the collaboration between Keys and BeyoncĂŠ, has been delayed until this summer, despite the fact that a video for the single has already been shot. Drake’s album, Thank Me Later, has been pushed back to June 15 from its original date of May 25. Keys told Rap-Up.com,

“They’re going to be able to see the ‘Un-Thinkable’ video first and then see ‘Put It In A Love Song,’ but it probably won’t come until closer to this summer.”

According to the New York Daily News, one industry insider said the move seemed like a favor, noting “Drake has only had a few hot singles, and I think it’s understood that his album needs to do really well for him to be able to stay a fixture in the music industry.”

That Grape Juice has received reliable word that the video for Alicia Keys and Beyonce’s ‘Put It In A Love Song’ single has been pushed back, and will therefore not première today as previously announced. As at writing, no reason has been given for the push-back. Although there are murmurings suggesting it will now debut on March 17th (next week Wedndesday).

“Shooting ‘Put It in a Love Song’ in Rio, in Brazil, was very incredible,” Keys said. “I feel that the energy of the city matches the energy of the song. It’s sensual, it’s exciting, it’s so rich with color. I loved it. The people came out so heavy and so hard. I think it was exciting, especially to participate and experience it with them like that. Me and B have a great relationship. And to be able to have the chemistry we have and do it in a city that’s so unique like that is unforgettable. The pictures speak a thousand words. On Sunday, Keys performed for more than 108,000 people at the stadium, a new attendance record for any NBA game. The singer did a medley of her hits: “Empire State of Mind,” “Sleeping With a Broken Heart” and “No One.”

“It is a grand stage,” Keys said of the mini-set. “It’s really exciting. I’m a personal fan of championship-style games where the best are playing. It’s exciting, and I love that. Also to be able to perform on a stage like this and a venue like this, people are excited. They’re here to have a great time, and so I’m glad that on Valentine’s Day, I’m able to bring a little love in the building. So it’s gonna be beautiful.”

Sheri Ladner a publicist with RCA Music Group which includes Keys’ label J Records, said the video will have scenes recorded at several locations across Rio. The glamorous divas performed in front of local children. Keys performed one section wearing a flowing white dress on top of a house and another in the shadow of Christ The Redeemer. Beyonce wore a green and blue outfit as she filmed a section of the video in Praca Maua square.
